We launched our business in 1995, driven by the desire to create, install and maintain beautiful spaces – outdoor retreats where our clients can find peace and relaxation, right at home. Over the years, we’ve designed hundreds of commercial and residential projects, discovered solutions to a variety of unique challenges, and carefully honed our craft. Backed by our passion for the principles of design, meticulous craftsmanship and years of experience, we believe there is little we can’t achieve.

At present, we serve much of Eastern Nebraska and Western Iowa, including Fremont, Elkhorn, Omaha, Blair, Glenwood and Council Bluffs – and our service area is always growing.
Steve Basilico, Owner
Steve Basilico began his landscaping career in high school, as an employee at Mulhall’s – where he stocked shelves, organized inventory and, under the guidance of the Mullhall family, learned to appreciate the artistry and technical expertise that goes into the landscaping process.
After spending time in the armed forces, Steve studied Environmental Science at the University of Nebraska Omaha, where he gained invaluable insight on planning, geography, topography and more. It was while he was at UNO that his own business picked up pace, and Outdoor Oasis came to be.
Over the years, Steve’s offerings have grown – from an initial focus on water features to today’s broad range of services – based on trends, new resources and the changing needs of his customers. His expertise, as well as that of his team, has grown too. Outdoor Oasis places a priority on continuing education and keeping certifications up to date, ensuring the services you receive include the latest techniques from some of the best people in the industry.
Outside of Outdoor Oasis, Steve is involved in the Omaha community and enjoys spending time with his two children, Alex and Adriana, who both attend St. Stephen the Martyr School.
